7. JCH 1: 35-40

Two of John’s disciples, before CHRIST came into the picture had been following John, hearing his messages and proclamations about CHRIST. When they finally saw Him and heard John’s word about HIM just like the ones he had been proclaiming, they followed HIM without hesitation and sought to abide with HIM in His abode. They were not hindered by the loyalty they had for John because they understood that all John had been doing was because of CHRIST. It was the knowledge that CHRIST was the Lord and Saviour that made them leave John and follow CHRIST without remorse of disloyalty.

CHRIST is the Focus

CHRIST is the Focus

6. JCH 1: 18-34 and JCH 3: 26-30

John-The Baptist was a mighty man! He was responsible for preparing the hearts of people for the coming of CHRIST and because of this, he was highly revered before the people. But this did not stop him from proclaiming the Truth about CHRIST and what He was sent to do on earth. Even though people acknowledged him and pay him respect, he revealed to them that he was just a witness of the coming CHRIST. He refused to take the glory of GOD for himself by directing all attention to himself. He told them that by the time people know CHRIST for themselves, he would no longer be relevant to them because they would have established a relationship with HIM.

GODLY ETHICS: Grace and Truth

GODLY ETHICS: Grace and Truth

5. JCH 1: 14-17

The Word of GOD becoming flesh simply means that whatever GOD is saying is what we are doing; whatever He desires is what is happening in our lives. This was what happened to CHRIST when He was on earth! Whatever GOD asked Him to do was what He was doing even though He had the option of doing the opposite.

Glory of GOD simply means that whatever GOD says would happen in our lives actually happened or is happening.

The Grace of GOD simply means GOD’s empowerment that comes from our obedience and willingness in being on the same page with HIM.

The Truth of GOD simply means that we allow His Word to come to pass or to established in our lives for the world to see; and that people did not see HIM as a liar or take His Word for a lie because of our disobedience.

GOD’s Word is always the Truth but we can make it seem like a lie before people if we do not obey by doing accordingly. Being full of grace and truth means that we have the capacity to do and what we are doing with this capacity is what is needed to be done according to GOD’s design. GOD wants us to be embodiment of His word. He wants His Word to become what we live (our flesh: our nature) till we get out of this time. He wants people to see HIM in us.

It is as we establish His Truth through His Grace that He increases our Grace for another adventure of establishing His Truth . . . The status is the Truth while the stature is Grace, the conditions and criticalities of engagement may warrant increase in the measure of Grace but the status of Truth is not subject to change.

Oh CHRIST! Give me the Grace to uphold YOUR Truth in any circumstance that I find myself. Let YOUR Word be my priority that YOUR Grace may be abundant in establishing the Truth . . . for YOUR Word indeed is Truth!

GODLY ETHIC: Rejected But Not Discouraged

4. JCH 1: 9-13

CHRIST in His divine wisdom manifested His essence, shared His words, healed the sick but despite all that, He was still not accepted by many people. CHRIST came just like every other man to share the gospel with the people but He was rejected. They were not looking for a mere man but for someone who looks great on the outside. Even though many rejected CHRIST, it did not stop Him from doing what the Father instructed Him even to the point of dying on the cross.

2. JCH 1: 4-5

The life in this passage is the Life of GOD which can also be likened to Light . . . but the life of this world can only be likened to darkness. CHRIST came as the Light of men sent from GOD to show mankind the errors of their ways and the reality GOD wants us to live. Wherever territory or terrain CHRIST found Himself, He drove away darkness and exposed the evil that has found solace in it.

GODLY ETHICS: The Ideal Relationship

GODLY ETHICS: The Ideal Relationship
Father and Son
  1. JCH 1: 1-3

It is no controversy that John the beloved was referring to CHRIST as the Word! There had been a father and son relationship between GOD and CHRIST even before GOD created time through CHRIST (The Word). The relationship was so cordial that anything GOD did was what CHRIST would do and anything CHRIST did was what GOD would do. CHRIST became 100% GOD – The Son became the Father and the Father was still at large.

The REP Movement

The REP Movement

There are many ways saints have deployed in order to execute GOD’s kingdom on earth but it seems like every effort seems futile and unproductive. Some systematic solutions we provide to societies and nations have being categorized with the status quo of the world solutions.

This means that even though these solutions are inspired by GOD as proclaimed, the way they are being executed is not different from the way the world executes its own . . . we even adopt the world’s solutions and patterns of execution and try to tailor these solutions to the church.

Faithful and Wise Servant

Faithful and Wise Servant

MATTHEW 24: 42 – 51

Who is considered a faithful and wise servant? How can we recognize one? What does a faithful and wise servant hold dear more than anything?

According to CHRIST’s narrative, a faithful and wise servant is the one given the responsibility of a householder and a householder is the one in charge of administrating resources among the members of the house. He is the one GOD has put in charge of a particular set of people for the purpose of relaying the content of His heart and the plans of His mind to them.
