BEFORE THE CHURCH PROSPERS

BEFORE THE CHURCH PROSPERS

THE FEAR OF THE LORD

The delight of CHRIST if not the only delight is that HE fears the LORD even though HE is LORD. Isaiah 11: 1-3 talks about the distinctions of CHRIST through the manifestation of the HOLY SPIRIT in HIM but much emphasis was laid on the Fear of The LORD as the manifestation HE delights the most despite all the wonderful manifestations that were mentioned before it.

BEFORE THE CHURCH PROSPERS

BEFORE THE CHURCH PROSPERS

“Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were Edified; and walking in the Fear of the LORD, and in the comfort of the HOLY GHOST, were multiplied.”                                                                                                                                                                                             Acts 9: 31

There are always two dimensions or sides to the prosperity and advancement of any people, places or things. These dimensions are pivotal for any sustainable change to happen in all facets of life. And the Church is part of those systems or organism that thrives when these dimensions are explored dutifully according to GOD’s Will and Commands. These dimensions are simply Growth and Development. Interestingly, the order of naming, though as common as commonly used is opposite to the order of importance or attention.

For any system or people to advance in a sustainable manner, Development must always come before Growth – this is the irreversible order of the prosperity of anything that must last. The Church must know what it takes for her Development and what is needed for her Growth.

As followers and disciplers of CHRIST and also as HIS Bride, it is necessary that we know what HE defines as the elements and dimensions of prosperity and how it can be a reality for the present Church. Most times, when prosperity is being mentioned, what comes to mind of people outside the Church is increase in the monetary and material blessings. In the same light, whenever it is said that a Church is prospering, what comes to mind is the number of Church members and perhaps the hugeness of the amounts of offerings raised during an engagement.

And when asked about how prosperity becomes a reality, we come with all kinds of theories of faith and confessions and declarations; the efficiencies of which could not be denied. But according to the Book of Joshua, prosperity is a process and it does not suggest repeated declarations about receiving abundance of money or resources. It is a dutiful process that evolves with time based on conscious efforts, constancy and consistency.

Fortunately, the elements that bring about dimensions of prosperity of the Church were evident in the lives of the Apostles and Disciples of CHRIST when the Church was instituted by CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT through JESUS’ Apostles.

Biblical vocabulary of Development is simply Edification while that of Growth is simply Multiplication. It is this dual combination that would sustainably facilitate the eternal prosperity of the Church.

 EDIFICATION

This simply means to Build, Repair and Nurture. It obviously also means Development i.e. adding things together from the smallest unit up to the greatest level in order to form a wholesome experience, person or system.

The Building has to do with the careful addition of layers upon layers while Repair has to do with making corrections and adjustments to the affected additions and Nurture deals with the coordination of how these successive additions work together in sync for required productivity.

It must be duly noted that Edification can only be optimal or effective if the atmosphere or condition is right. Without the right conducive atmosphere, edification would either be partly successful or unwholesome.

And this needed condition is Peace with GOD and men. It is in this condition that one could either build up himself or others.

Paul mentioned building up ourselves in the most holy faith . . . what faith is holier than that of CHRIST and this faith of CHRIST is the only element that can guarantee us Peace with GOD. It is the faith of CHRIST that will give us the inner peace and help us facilitate the Peace we need to attain before men.

That Peace with GOD is Grace which manifests in us because we have Faith required to please HIM. So when a man’s ways please the LORD because of his Faith, GOD makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

So peace with GOD gives us the capacity to build, nurture and repair people, Places, Things and Systems.

Peace with men of like faith work with us as the Edification Team; while peace with men who are not for us will be secured through our blameless conducts and GOD’s machinations so as to give us the opportunities, work and resources (Time, People, Money) to Build efficiently and effectively.

This is exactly how Edification or Development should look like in the Church. What every builder must understand and learn is that Peace with GOD, fellow believers and non-believers is very essential in building up people of GOD in the most holy faith.

Our focus must be to foster peace with GOD through HIS HOLY SPIRIT and relate with fellow man through CHRIST in us. Our lives will be more productive if we are first committed to building peace before building the people because the fruits of righteousness are sown in peace by those who make peace.

So if we want to sow the fruit of righteousness that automatically fosters peace, the environment must speak and exude peace within and without. As the Church, we must not make the error of fostering peace within ourselves before trying to foster peace with GOD. This is because the Author of our faith and the Head of the Church is CHRIST and only through HIM could we have everlasting Life and Peace in abundance.

The motive of any Edification or Developmental process is Perfection and the only ONE that is perfect is GOD – The FATHER, The SON and The HOLY SPIRIT. Therefore, doing things outside the HOLY SPIRIT is a recipe for disaster especially for the Church. If there is going to be a lasting peace both within and without, then we must be connected and attentive to the HOLY SPIRIT.

May HIS Peace Be With You!

The ZEAL

The ZEAL

Isaiah 9:7; Romans 10:2; Psalm 69:8-12; Numbers 25:11-13

Everyone has what s/he is zealous for or about. We all have passion that drives us to make some decisions and take actions towards a desired change. Therefore, zeal is meant to get things done accordingly or to make sure things that are not acceptable disappear definitely.

Faithful and Wise Servant

Faithful and Wise Servant

MATTHEW 24: 42 – 51

Who is considered a faithful and wise servant? How can we recognize one? What does a faithful and wise servant hold dear more than anything?

According to CHRIST’s narrative, a faithful and wise servant is the one given the responsibility of a householder and a householder is the one in charge of administrating resources among the members of the house. He is the one GOD has put in charge of a particular set of people for the purpose of relaying the content of His heart and the plans of His mind to them.

KINGDOM, LAW AND FAITH

There are three things among other things that GOD cherishes in our relationship and work with HIM. If these three things are taking seriously at heart, our relationship and work with GOD will be inseparable.

As the KING, GOD has a Kingdom and a Kingdom cannot function without Laws that would guide and inform the Kingdom’s purpose of existence. So, if The Kingdom and Law are the elements of ruling the hearts of men, what is the need for Faith? How helpful is Faith to the KING and HIS people?

KINGDOM AND LAW

Generally, the law can be a set of instructions written in order to guide a system for the purpose of functioning according to design. This means that law does not create a Kingdom but guides to function according to the Creator. There would always be satisfaction if the Kingdom is always functioning as it needs to function and even though the Kingdom is not created by the law, they must equally emerge from the same source.

In ancient times, it is often said that the king is the law i.e. Whatever the king declares stands as the law people should live by. In the Kingdom of the LORD, the Word of GOD is the Law because HE is what HE says and the Spirit from which the Words HE speaks from is the embodiment of HIS kingdom. According to the Holy Bible, the summary of the Kingdom of the LORD is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. This means that whoever is living in the reality of the Kingdom of the LORD, these three things must be his reality and this can only be possible if the Laws of the KING are being kept sincerely and cheerfully.

FAITH

According to the book of Hebrew, Faith is the substance of the things hoped for and the evidence of the things not seen . . . So how does Faith relates to the Kingdom of the LORD and the Laws governing it?

From the Scriptures, it is evident that:

1. Law of GOD = HIS Word
2. Word of GOD = HIS person or Who HE is
>>>Therefore, The Law of GOD = GOD HIMSELF

Also,

1. Kingdom of GOD: King’s Domain
2. Domain: Everything was made by HIS Word

This means that whatever we see and not see i.e. whatever we know to be existing and the ones we are not aware of their existence were made by GOD’s Word. They are all from GOD. “The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof . . .”

So, GOD asking us to have Faith is a way of saying that:

“I am My Word and My Word is Law; My Kingdom is a part of Me that I have spread in the hearts of My people on earth and even upon the earth itself. My Kingdom and My Law are both products of My Spirit. Can you just obey ME when I say a word to you in form of a command? Since I am the Law and you have accepted this same Law, can you just do things only because I say so even though it may not make sense in the immediate?”

If GOD speaks and HIS words become law and everything we see are products of the same words, it means there is more to GOD that can only be accessed through a relationship with HIS person. Faith is more of our relationship with the KING that founded the Kingdom and made the Law . . . If we accept the person of GOD and HIS Son JESUS CHRIST, then the Law would be natural to live by and the Kingdom will be our abode even as HE abides in us.

Faith is allowing GOD to live out HIS Kingdom and Laws from our within . . . Selah!

Artificial Intelligence

AI

What is the purpose of something artificial when there is already a natural that is existing and functioning?

The real truth is that the natural disintegrates or deteriorates in quality and effectiveness as well as strength per time. So the artificial is invented in order to help the natural use less of his energy and yet be more productive than before.

Artificial Intelligence seems like a veritable solution to keep the natural in good shape and it remains one of the highest attainment of man’s invention if not the highest. More success can be realized when the artificial functions in close proximity to the natural . . . Artificial Intelligence is a very productive tool but it is idolatry when it becomes the object in view rather than the tool to attain the object in view.

According to GOD’s original design, the three tiers if intelligence have been given given to man to profit with. According to the same design, the spiritual makes the decision, the natural deals with how the decision shoul be executed while the artificial maintains the continuity/perpetuity of the execution. The effectiveness of these successive interactions can only be according to design if the HOLY SPIRIT is allowed within and upon the person.

It is unfortunate that man do not get to reason like the original design;

It is more unfortunate that man in his fallen state makes another image and revel in its AI beauty rather than seeking GOD to raise him up from the dead.

It is most unfortunate that man despite his seeking GOD for Spiritual Intelligence should make something artificial fr himself and revel in it and the gifts with which he used to make it. Artificial Intelligence is only a tool to make life easier and more productive and not an object or people to focus their attention on for the purpose of furthering their self-desires.

Spiritual Intelligence

SI

Intelligence is not access to information even though it is almost useless without it; it is actually the ability to maximize or optimize whatever information, tools or resources one is accessible to either for the benefit of himself or his environment/society.

It is also the ability to process information in order to know its usefulness or detriment after which he makes use if the tools available either to harness the potential of the information or deal with its detriment by required means necessary . . . And one of the most important and direct feeder of information for intelligence is emotion.

So, if intelligence deals with the reasoning ability or thinking capacity of a man, how does the spirit comes into play? What is the relevance or connection of the spiritual to/with the intellectual? But as interesting and complicating this issue sounds, it simply boils down to two elements – The WORD of GOD as the information and the HOLY SPIRIT as the embodiment of GOD’s intelligence . . . But unlike natural man, a man full of the Spirit of GOD has the same HOLY SPIRIT as the emotional sensor and receiver.

It is the oneness of the spiritual emotion and intelligence that makes the HOLY SPIRIT processes information and responds instantaneously. The fallen man no longer reason as he should be because he died . . . and deadness is of the spirit. The moment he died, he failed to reason according to GOD’s design and was reduced to thinking more about the perishable things than the things that are eternal . . .

Our natural emotion and intelligence have been given tasks that are not necessarily theirs . . . Man is meant to carry out what has been duly processed in the spirit. Man was not initially wired for the machinations they are given to orchestrate presently. The brain/mind was initially designed to serve as a synergy between the spiritual and the physical; it is not meant to serve as both the source and the synergy.

Now, for a man to go back to that realm, he must submit to the HOLY SPIRIT and activate the same mind in coherence with the mind of GOD . . . and gradually, the mind will be at rest, doing what he was initially designed. A man whose mind is at rest is that man that has yielded his ability to process information either through the WORD of GOD and men to the HOLY SPIRIT. His mind will only be a relater of Spirit-processed intelligence to the body that is meant to realize as actualize it. Selah!
