SAINT’s FOCUS: Of Family and Tutelage

SAINT’s FOCUS: Of Family and Tutelage

“But you do not be called ‘RABBI’; for ONE is your TEACHER, the CHRIST, and you are all brethren.

Do not call anyone on earth your father; for ONE is your FATHER, HE who is in Heaven.

And do not be called TEACHERS; for ONE is your TEACHER, The CHRIST.”

Matthew 23: 8-10

Most of the deep teachings of CHRIST were for the Disciples’ consumption and edification. HE spoke many words to them and gave instructions and commandments they were meant to live by. It does not suggest or prove in any way that one is under the law when s/he has these instructions written on his/her mind and heart. The complete and diligent obedience to these teachings, instructions and commands are by all standards compulsory for our perfect restoration to GOD’s design.

CHURCH and NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: The RAISING

CHURCH and NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: The RAISING

There is no nation that the LORD almighty is not particular about whether they are defiant to His will or operating in the confine of the same. If the earth is the LORD’s and its fullness thereof, it means HE has His plans for everyone living in any part of this world. His will is far more than global as it comprises the processions in both Heaven and on Earth. His rulership spans beyond the whole universe that man has identified or not.

25. JCH5: 15-23

This is the perfect example of Father-Son relationship. The only example of discipleship and fatherhood we should strive to follow always. It is a relationship based on love and trust. A relationship based on the equality as the goal of the discipler (CHRIST) and obedience and honour as the elements to be found in the life of the disciple (Saints). Though GOD had given CHRIST the freedom and authority to judge, CHRIST would not do anything except the Father approves. Whatever He said or did was a function of GOD’s heart per time. Although He also had things to say that were evidently from the same GOD yet He would not speak them until GOD gave the permission

FAMILY: The True Model Of A Nation

family

Proverbs 1: 8-9

Even though the Church that has CHRIST as her Head is designed to determine whatever is going on in the very hearts of nations, GOD has made the attributes and similitude of both Church and nation to be embedded in a singular entity or unit called Family. Just like the cells in the body are the units of important systems like the heart and the brain, so is the family the unit system responsible for mirroring in a miniature manner how the Church and the nations GOD rules and leads to function.

The first chapter of the Book of Proverbs mentions the responsibilities of each member of the family almost in passing but the picture it paints about the family in coherence with national operation could not have been clearer than it is. Each member of the unit has been burdened gracefully with the responsibilities that the success of the unit hinges on without the luxury of overlooking one for the other.

Brother like a friend. Friend like a brother

Proverbs 18:24

I believe that the Bible is rounded but verses like this always make me believe more that the Bible is the manual needed to search out how GOD wants us to live.

When the Bible says there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother, then there should also be a brother that plays or relates with one than a friend would . . . It goes for both side and that is GOD’s design for us for not being lonely 🙂 . Which means when you are away from home, there are people that you would see as family but are not really your biological family. When you are with them, you miss your biological family a lot less. This is not to say you do not like your family anymore but that you have nurtured a relationship somewhere that makes you feel what you feel at home.

And the same goes for when we are at home. The relationship between our family members must be one that is not too shrewd but gives room for guided individual expressions that one enjoys outside home. Whenever we are away from friends, home you should be where to feel what we always feel when we are with friends.

Moving up the ladder, parents are supposed to be the children’s disciplers I.e. they should be the first to initiate a discipleship relationship with their children before they experience the ones outside. And also dsciplers outside are also meant to take the proper roles of parents though they are not biological parents. When parents take the role of disciplers as part of the roles, disciplers must also take the role of parents as part of the roles.

But there is a relationship that one should endeavour to start/maintain and that is the fellowship relationship with GOD. HE is indeed a friend that sticks closer than the skin when we give HIM the space HE requires to fellowship with us. With HIM, no loneliness can override the feeling that HE is with us and we are in HIM. HE is a Brother (JESUS), Friend (HOLY SPIRIT) and Father (GOD).

Peace To The Wise!
